In Uganda, pineapple farmers have been installing pineapple driers supplied via the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS).
Before they are dried, pineapples are washed and sliced into smaller pieces. They are then placed on the trays inside the driers.
In Uganda, pineapples take about two days to dry in the dry season and about three days in the rainy season.
After the drying, the pineapples are packed in polythene bags of 1-2 kg before they are sold.
