Full systems are offered – specialised films for closing the containers and machinery for bonding the closures – as well as technical advice and support.
With application of HACCP (hazard analysis critical control point), a system can be offered, for instance, to extend the shelf life of fresh products (raw, cooked or processed) by three times. “We have extended shelf life of fresh chicken to over 21 days,” says Amotz Golan, director of the company.
Among BG Trading’s products are:

  • CPET (crystallised polyester) containers, which are unique in plastic packaging in their ability to handle temperatures ranging from minus 40 degrees C to plus 220 degrees C – thus allowing either the producer or the customer to bake or microwave, for instance.
  • APET (amorphous polyester) containers, which are particularly suited for export because they are a substitute for PVC. Also, unlike PVC, they do not become brittle at below-zero temperatures.
