The range starts with small, manually operated machines capable of producing a few hundred blocks per day and extends to fully automatic microprocessor controlled plants with outputs in excess of 60,000 bricks per shift.
The manufacturer of the range states that all equipment is robust, reliable and easy to maintain, ensuring minimal down time. Designs are innovative, with the emphasis on practical operation and high production. Products include hollow blocks, bricks and pavers of various shapes, sizes and shades, and are of consistent quality.
Prices range from around US$400 for a basic brick machine to $2,850 for a more advanced manual machine, with prices increasing dependant on sophistication.
A hydraulic machine sells from $35,700 and a fully automatic machine from $107,000 upwards.
The Probrick range is manufactured by Profile Engineering, based in Cape Town, South Africa. Their plants are installed and commissioned by senior technicians who provide comprehensive operator training. Other services include consultancy, block/paver design and plant layouts.
