Dalby Process Machinery has launched a newly-designed and built bread-packaging machine, the Eurotech 20.
Able to slice, bag and bag-close 1,000 loaves per hour (lph), using two operators, the unit fills a gap in the market between the industrial Eurotech 60 (3,600lph), the Eurotech 40 (2,400lph) and the labour-intensive manual slicing opti Dalby Process Machinery has launched a newly-designed and built bread-packaging machine, the Eurotech 20.
Able to slice, bag and bag-close 1,000 loaves per hour (lph), using two operators, the unit fills a gap in the market between the industrial Eurotech 60 (3,600lph), the Eurotech 40 (2,400lph) and the labour-intensive manual slicing option.
Designed and manufactured in South Africa and selling at under $21,500 (R150,000) ex Johannesburg, the semi-automatic machine is available throughout southern Africa.
Only single phase, 220-volt electricity is needed. No compressed air is required. One central motor drives the heavy-duty slicer and the bag tie clip applicator. The machine’s footprint is only 1.82m by 1.5m.
The machine is easy to operate and comes with a three-year conditional guarantee. Low maintenance, spares and service are needed. Back-up for these is available throughout southern Africa.
Special features include disposable bread slicing blades (at a slice width to suit individual customers) which are durable and low cost. Blade changes are simple and can be undertaken without technical personnel.
Soft start, soft stop features add to the machine’s life and reduce wear and maintenance. The machine can be transported in one piece or partially stripped to reduce bulk volume. The first export was crated in one piece for road transport delivery to Zambia.
The Eurotech 20 uses standard plastic bag closure clips. The machine is ideal for batch production environments.
